Struthers board accepts teacher's resignation

STRUTHERS -- The Struthers Board of Education during a special meeting Saturday accepted the resignation of teacher D.J. Dota.
Board President David Barone said Dota works in the weight room in the physical education department. His resignation is effective Friday.
Barone said he was not sure of the reason for the teacher's request. He added that a substitute will probably replace Dota for the rest of the year.
The board also met in executive session to discuss contract talks but took no action.
