Arkansas offers freevacation planning kit
The 2006 Arkansas Vacation Planning Kit is available free from the Arkansas Department of Parks and Tourism.
This year's edition includes Global Positioning Satellite coordinates for many attractions and points of interest. Also in the kit are a state highway map and four handbooks: a current Arkansas Tour Guide, State Parks Guide, Adventure Guide and Calendar of Events.

If you watch TV, you've seen the ads for the Sleep Number Bed, which allows each person to customize the bed to his or her comfort level. Its maker, Select Comfort, now offers a versatile travel pillow.
The Travel Mate Pillow ($24.99) measures a fluffy 9 by 12 inches for use in cars or airplanes. But take it out of its travel-size pillow case, and it unfolds to standard size. The full-size pillow, which isn't so fluffy, can then be unzipped to become a fully lined, padded pillow case. Insert a hotel pillow, and you have a thick pillow again, but one that provides layers of protection against whatever germs may lurk in the hotel pillow.
