MERCER COUNTY Man sentenced for burglary at ball field



A Youngstown man received probation for stealing plumbing equipment.
MERCER, Pa. -- A Sharon man was sentenced to a jail term for burglarizing a building at Sharon Little League Field.
Judge Thomas Dobson of Mercer County Common Pleas Court ordered Raymond Biro Jr., 20, of Orchard Street, to serve three to 18 months in jail. He entered a building at the north field on Thornton Street on May 14, 2005.
Others sentenced
Judge Dobson also sentenced these people to either jail terms or probation:
UHelen Brutt, 41, of Parkview Boulevard, Hermitage, placed on 15 months' probation and ordered to make restitution for forgery, a misdemeanor. In June 2005, Brutt stole four personal checks and forged signatures on them, cashing them for a total of $990 at several Hermitage and Sharon banks.
UChristopher Cretella, 47, of Bears Den Road, Youngstown, placed on one year's probation for retail theft. He stole $252 worth of plumbing equipment and hardware from Lowe's, Glimcher Boulevard, Hermitage, on Feb. 24, 2004.
UMichael Mayerchak, 19, no address given, placed on one year's probation and ordered to make restitution for criminal conspiracy/delivery of a controlled substance. On May 27, 2005, he sold 3.5 grams of marijuana to a confidential informant for $35, court records say.
UStephanie Reiner, 23, of Robinhood Way, Boardman, placed on one year's probation for receiving stolen property. She received stolen electronic equipment and some socks taken from Wal-Mart, 7 Maple Drive, Greenville.
UCharles Stoner, 53, no address given, placed on 18 months' probation for two counts of harassment. On March 19, 2005, he made several harassing calls to a woman in less than two hours. He also caused the woman emotional distress by going to her place of employment, confronting her in public places, going to her home, and leaving notes despite repeated instructions by the victim and Hermitage Police to stop.

Judge John Reed of common pleas court sentenced these people to jail or gave them probation last week:
UJeremy Clark, 34, no address given, placed on one year's probation for possession of a controlled substance. On Nov. 22, 2004, he was apprehended on Highland Road, Hermitage, with cocaine.
UStacey Durman, 28, of Broadway Avenue, Masury, placed on one year's probation for theft and possession of drug paraphernalia. On March 14, 2005, she stole jewelry and a pair of athletic shoes worth a total of $317 at Kaufmann's, 3515 E. State St., Hermitage.
UWilliam Longstreth, 32, of South Keelridge Road, West Middlesex, placed on two years' probation for possession with intent to deliver marijuana. In April 2005, he was apprehended on South Hermitage Road, Hermitage, with more than 300 grams of marijuana.
UDavid Moore, 25, of East Budd Street, Sharon, sentenced to three to 12 months in the county jail for two counts of possessing a controlled substance. On July 6, 2005, he was apprehended at New Castle Avenue and Mesabi Street, Sharon with crack cocaine, seven bags of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
UKelly Stinedurf, 39, of Shenango Park, Transfer, placed on one year's probation for theft by unlawful taking or disposition. She took $20 from a cash register at the Farrell Golden Dawn, 829 Sharon-New Castle Road, Farrell.
UCarl Wheaton, 22, of Delaware Street, Sharon, placed on one year's probation and ordered to make restitution for disorderly conduct. On Aug. 12, 2005, he broke the jaw of a man at a Sharon apartment on East State Street.
