Forum Health worker robbed at gunpoint

YOUNGSTOWN -- A Liberty woman who is a Forum Health Northside Medical Center employee was robbed of her purse at gunpoint in the hospital parking deck.
Police said the woman entered the elevator of the parking deck around 4 p.m. Friday and a man stepped out of the nearby stairwell and onto the elevator just as the doors closed. As the elevator started to ascend, he pulled a handgun from his pocket, put the gun to her head and demanded she give him her purse.
Police said the man grabbed at her purse and the woman began screaming. The man put his hand over her mouth and said, "Don't say anything, I'm not going to hurt you."
The elevator doors opened and the man grabbed her purse and ran down a nearby stairwell.
Police and hospital security personnel searched the parking deck and surrounding area, but did not find anyone. Police are reviewing video from the parking deck security cameras.
