Charity auction to be held at MetroPlex

Proceeds from event will benefit patients, families and caregivers in this area.
YOUNGSTOWN -- "Island Memories" is the theme chosen by the Alzheimer's Assistance and Referral Network, for a charity auction to be held March 11 at the Holiday Inn, MetroPlex Centre in Liberty. Doors will open for the event at 6 p.m.
The cost is $40 for the evening that will feature a live auction, a buffet dinner, a silent auction, and a Chinese auction.
Among the items available to bidders will be a P. Buckley Moss print, a basket filled with creations from Henn Workshop, four tickets to Disney World, golf certificates and fine jewelry.
Proceeds from the benefit will provide AARN services including seminars, meetings, workshops and informational material for patients, families and caregivers in the Greater Youngstown Area.
Carol Cadman, AARN vice president, is event chairwoman and is being assisted by the Rev. Ted Schaffer and Evelyn Chamberlain. Sponsors for the evening are Sunrise Assisted Living, Windsor House, AustinWoods Nursing Center and Grace Woods Village.
