Trumbull County plans for 4-H Week
CORTLAND -- Ohio 4-H Week is March 5-11, and there are Trumbull County plans to hold special activities to promote the 4-H Youth Development movement.
Statewide, 4-H youth and volunteers will be telling Ohio citizens about the program and how it can benefit participants, families and their communities.
Michelle Adkins, the Trumbull County Ohio State University extension educator, said some Trumbull 4-H members will visit with Trumbull County commissioners next Wednesday.
They are Lindsay Brainard of Farmdale, Courtney Crain of Vienna, Jenna DePizzo of Cortland, Nathan Jackson of Warren, Chandra Kelley of Warren and Sean Offerdahl of Hubbard. Each will share his or her thoughts and experiences in 4-H with the commissioners, who will proclaim March 5-11 as Trumbull County 4-H Week.
"We're hoping that anyone who is interested in learning more about our local 4-H program and the many opportunities it offers will contact our office," said Adkins.
Now is the time of year when new 4-H clubs are forming, and is an excellent time for youth to enroll in the 4-H program, Adkins added.
