With the start of MRDD Awareness Month, Leonard Kirtz School pupils, above, visit the Austintown Library on South Raccoon Road for "Come and Join the Fun," a story time for ages 3-6. Wednesday's reading was "I Ain't Gonna Paint No More" by Karen Beaumont, followed by a spin art activity. Teacher Marie Standohar, left, read the story with the help of pupil James Griffiths and Kay Flauto, a speech therapist, while the children followed along. At right, Meri Johnston, 6, helps James make spin art with the support of Susan Walter, left, and teaching assistant Jennifer Dunn.
