WHEATLAND TUBE officials are looking to increase revenues and enter new markets now that the pipe and tube maker has a new owner. The Carlyle Group, a Washington, D.C.-based investment firm, said Wednesday that it completed its purchase of John Maneely Co., the parent company of Wheatland Tube and a sister company.

Cobalt sales drop
SALES OF the Chevrolet Cobalt fell in February as car sales suffered at General Motors Corp. The company said Wednesday that it sold 14,277 Cobalts last month in the United States, compared with sales of 17,513 in January.
