Lowellville grad vies for WWE diva spot

THE VINDICATOR
Jennifer Walcott, a former Youngstown resident and 1995 graduate of Lowellville High School, is one of eight finalists in the World Wrestling Entertainment's 2006 Diva Search.
A WWE panel of judges narrowed down the original list of 100 contestants last week.
The competition will resume on the July 10 WWE television show "Raw" and on each "Raw" and "SmackDown" show thereafter. The winner will receive $250,000 and a WWE contract.
This year's competition was held in Marina Del Ray, Calif.
Walcott, who was Playboy magazine's Miss August 2001, talked about making the finals in an interview posted on the WWE Web site (www.wwe.com).
"The last two days felt like two years to me," she said. "I'm a serious competitor so it felt great to advance to the final eight. I made a lot of new friends and the experience was a lot of fun."
