District Eight Auxiliary elects officers at meeting in Sebring

SEBRING -- Election of officers was on the agenda when District Eight Auxiliary to the Veterans of Foreign Wars met June 4 at the Cross of Malta, VFW Post 6730.
Elected to serve for 2006-2007 terms were the following:
President, Edith Lowden of Mogadore VFW 8487 Auxiliary.
Senior vice president, Patricia Gavin, Akron 1070.
Junior vice president, Cheryl Eaton, Akron 1070.
Treasurer, Patricia Malinowski, Youngstown 4237.
Secretary, Jeanne Hinkle, Ravenna 1055.
Chaplain, Renell Novack, Northfield 6768.
Conductress, Sandra Graves, Youngstown 6488.
Guard, Nancy Horner, Sebring 6730.
Three-year trustee, Candi Brooks, West Farmington 7200.
Two-year trustee, Graves, Youngstown 6488.
One-year trustee, Horner, Sebring 6730.
Conducting the induction ceremony were the following installing officers: Anna McGrath, Warren 3307, installing officer; Warrine Yerkey, Akron 8975, conductress; Malinowski, assistant conductress; and Faye Doyle, Ravenna 1055, secretary.
District Eight VFW and the auxiliary will hold a picnic from noon to 6 p.m. July 9 at Ravenna VFW 1055 post home, 6000 New Milford Road, Ravenna.
