XBOARDMAN -- Julie Lynn Handel, a daughter of Bob and Linda Handel, Appleridge Circle, and Todd Robert Sardich, a son of Walt and Barbara Sardich, Canfield Road, Youngstown, were united in marriage by the Rev. Daniel Venglarik at 1:30 p.m. May 27 at St. Charles Church.
After a reception at Antone's Banquet Centre, the couple left on a wedding trip to Riviera Maya, Mexico. They live on Angiline Drive.
The bride's strapless A-line gown of diamond-white chiffon featured a ruched, asymmetrical draped overlay and was enhanced with Swarovski crystals.
Petunia-colored gowns were worn by Megan Handel and Katie Handel, the honor attendants; the bridesmaids, Lisa Campbell, Michelle Klucher, Jennifer Handel, Kelly Lysowski, Nicole Zabel, Laura Constin, Gina Dowell and Jennifer Herbert; and the junior bridesmaid, Nicole Pavlansky. Flower girl was Stephanie Martin in a white dress.
Erik Sardich was best man, and groomsmen were Wayne Brooke, Ryan Bringger, Mike Alexander, Chuck Saulino, Bryan Fialkowski, Rob Zabel, Aaron Stamp, Brad Handel and Sean Lysowski. Junior groomsman was Mark Handel, and ring bearer was Daniel Leslie.
The bride graduated from John Carroll University with a bachelor's degree in early childhood education.
The groom, a credit risk manager with First Place Bank, earned a bachelor's in finance/economics at John Carroll and is pursuing a master's at Youngstown State University.
