Court renovation bids
LISBON -- Bids were opened Wednesday for renovations to the courts on the second floor of the Columbiana County courthouse. Court Administrator Amy Ondrejko said only one bid was submitted for general contracting, from Brock and Associates Builders of Youngstown, for $914,000. The entire project is expected to cost $2.7 million. Bids were received on other portions of the work, which would include better heating and cooling.
However, there were no bids to replace the huge windows with more energy-efficient ones. Ondrejko said that work will have to be re-bid. Officials are expected to meet in a few weeks to discuss the project.
