CLASS B LEAGUE Olenych pitches Express to 4-3 win behind Berry
Jeff Olenych struck out six over the distance while Mike Berry went 4-for-4.
STRUTHERS -- Jeff Olenych got the complete-game victory, striking out six, as Youngstown Express upset R & amp;J Trucking, 4-3, in a Class B game Wednesday at Cene Park.
Olenych is now 3-3. Mike Berry went 4-for-4 with a triple, a double and three RBIs for the Express (4-18), while Jon Mullins had two hits.
Losing pitcher Dave Patrick (0-4) had a triple and a two-run double for R & amp;J (16-7), while Ed Rohan had two hits.
Livi Steel 4, Wharmby Sports 2
Josh Cooper (4-1) went the first six innings, allowing no earned runs with four strikeouts for Livi Steel (17-6). Derek Sumner tossed a scoreless seventh for the save. Tony Pozega added a pair of doubles and Matt Shields had two hits.
John Thomas (1-4) went the distance, striking out nine, while Cory Johnson had an RBI single for Wharmby (13-10).
Astro Falcons 10,Roth Brothers 8
Jared Bartholomew, Cameron Konop, Kyle Smith and Kolten Hoffman had two hits each for the Falcons (14-8), who increased their lead to 1 1/2 games over Wharmby in the Cene Division. Ben Leece (2-0) went the distance for the win.
Joe Vaught had four of the eight hits for Roth (2-21).
Rondinelli Tuxedo 9, Mink Financial 1
Chris Beaty and Tony Brunetti each had three hits for Rondinelli (18-5), which took a two-game lead in the Goldstone Division. Aaron Cosma (4-1) struck out five in a complete game victory.
Richie Tissone had two hits for Mink (11-12), which is tied with Newell for the sixth and final playoff spot.
Newell Sporting Goods 2, Dave Sugar Excavating 1
Karl Swanson's suicide squeeze bunt in the bottom of the seventh inning lifted Newell (11-12). Jarryd Summers had two hits and Andy Geibel (5-0) had five strikeouts in the win.
Dave Diyorio (0-3) struck out seven in the loss for Sugar (8-15).
