XYOUNGSTOWN -- Christine Rafidi, a daughter of Yousef and Viviane Rafidi of 3490 Darbyshire Drive, Canfield, and James Davis, 4829 Kirk Road, Austintown, a son of Thomas and Susan Davis, 4319 Wedgewood Drive, Austintown, were married at 2 p.m. May 27 at St. Columba Cathedral.
After a reception at St. Mary Assumption Social Center, they left on a wedding trip to Miami, Aruba and Disney World.
Swarovski crystals, beading and embroidery enhanced the bride's strapless white matte satin gown.
Dark powder-blue gowns were worn by the honor attendants, Diane Logan and Kristin Greenwood, and the bridesmaids, Lori Rafidi, Melissa Davis, Lori Wolfe, Samia Rafeedie and Amy Angelo. Flower girls were Rita and Christina Malouf.
Best men were Frank Pugliese and Jeff Ryznar, and groomsmen were Joe Rafidi, Rob Fabian, Jason Jugenheimer, Bill Fullerman and Michael Thomas, Junior groomsmen were Alex Rafidi and Vincent Fabian, and ushers were Kevin Vivacqua, T.J. Assion, Ken Kasiewicz and Jay First.
The bride earned a bachelor's degree in education at Youngstown State University and a master's in education at Walsh University. She is a teacher at St. Luke School in Boardman. The groom received state of Ohio police certification from the MTC Police Academy in Niles. He is a deputy with Mahoning County Sheriff's Department in Youngstown, a patrolman with Milton Township Police in Lake Milton and co-owner of American Limousine, Austintown. They live at the Kirk Road address.
