Boardman police chiefsubmits his resignation
Boardman Township trustees will soon begin a search for a new police chief after accepting the resignation of Chief Jeffrey Patterson, effective July 21. Atty. Robyn Gallitto, trustees' chairwoman, said Patterson submitted a letter of resignation Monday, stating he has accepted other employment. He stated in the letter that serving as Boardman Township chief for 5 1/2 years has been a great honor and privilege. He said Boardman is a great community with an excellent police department. "We accepted his resignation with regret and wish him well," Gallitto said.
