Firefighters consider arson as cause of fire

WARREN -- City firefighters are investigating whether a blaze that heavily damaged a vacant house at 2849 Pawnee St. is the work of an arsonist.
No injuries were reported. Firefighters were called to the one-story block home at 7:47 p.m. Monday and returned to the station around 9:30 p.m. They did not have a loss estimate but said the fire gutted the home's interior.
Firefighters said the blaze started in the kitchen and spread throughout the house and to a nearby detached garage.
