XYOUNGSTOWN -- The marriage of Tracy Monique Shelton, 2783 Preston Club, Columbus, and Marcus Alan Harris, 420 S. Ashburton Road, Columbus, was solemnized by the Rev. H. Chris Sharpley at 12:30 p.m. May 20 at Alpha and Omega First Baptist Church.
After a reception in Mindszenty Hall at Our Lady of Hungary Church, the couple left on a wedding trip to Pompano Beach, Fla. They live at the bride's address.
Parents of the bride are Glenn Shelton Sr., 27 E. Princeton Ave., and Toni Shelton-Curry, 1962 Connecticut Ave., and the groom's parents are Merrill and Thresea Harris, 2725 McGuffey Road.
The bride wore a strapless white satin A-line gown with embroidery and rhinestones at the waistline.
Sage-colored gowns were worn by the honor attendants, Shannon Shelton and Darlene Drummond, and the bridesmaids, Alice Rader, Tonnette Bufford, Kris Howell and Tirzah Franklin. Flower girl was Ariel Sharpley.
Best man was Morgan Harris, and groomsmen were Kore Sharpley, David Starkey, Darin Durand, Robert Mitchell IV, Edward Gonzalez and Wil Whipple. Ring bearer was Christopher Harris. Ushers were Sekou Smith, Bryan Hawkins, Michelle Smith and Kendrah Sharpley.
Mrs. Harris graduated magna cum laude from Ohio State University with a bachelor's degree. She is a Help Me Grow service coordinator with the Neighborhood House in Columbus. Mr. Harris, an Internet services representative with Bioscrip Pharmacy in Columbus, graduated from OSU with a bachelor's degree.
