HERSHEY, Pa. -- Area football officials Tony Montana and John Patton officiated last Saturday's Big 33 Game between the Ohio and Pennsylvania All-Stars.
Both Montana and Patton officiate high school and college football games during the season.
Correction
CANFIELD -- Canfield High softball player Lauren McGivern is a senior.
She was incorrectly listed as a junior when the Metro Athletic Conference All-Stars were published on June 18.
She will play at Kent State next year.
United Wayplans Tee-Off
WARREN -- United Way of Trumbull County will hold its third annual "Tee-Off to the Kickoff" on July 31 at the Trumbull Country Club.
The four-person scramble will begin with a 1 p.m. shotgun start.
Entry fee is $600 per team or $150 per person, which includes 18 holes of golf with cart, lunch, steak dinner, beverages and giveaways.
There will be a contest on each hole, including three hole-in-one shots for prizes valued from $5,000 to $30,000.
First, second, and third place teams will win gift certificates from the Trumbull Country Club pro shop.
Participants also will have the opportunity to win two roundtrip airline tickets valued at $1,000, courtesy of AirTran Airways.
Sponsorship opportunities are available at a variety of levels, and the popular Chairman's package includes a golf foursome, hole and cart sponsorship for only $800. For non-golfers, a dinner-only option is available.

GROVE CITY, Pa. -- Grove City College senior cross country standout Elisa Pedersen earned College Division third team Academic All-America honors for cross country and track and field from ESPN The Magazine and the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).
South Range gradplays for Fusion
CLEVELAND -- Shannon Anderson, a South Range High School graduate, is wide receiver for the Cleveland Fusion.
The Fusion is one of 37 teams of women's full contact football that plays in 35 cities.
Last week, Anderson scored four touchdowns to help her team finish first in the North Central Division.
Cleveland will play host to the first round of playoffs on July 8 at Bedford Stadium against the Philadelphia Phoenix.
Anderson is one of three players vying for the first WHAMMY'S award for women's full tackle football as the offensive player of the year.
The award will be presented on Aug. 4 in Pittsburgh preceding the championship game.
Sebring ladadvances to Jake
SEBRING -- Josh Hurford, 11, of Sebring, will compete today at the Pepsi Major League Baseball Pitch, Hit & amp; Run Team Championship Competition hosted by the Cleveland Indians at Jacobs Field.
Hurford qualified by placing first in his age division at a local competition and becoming the all-around champion at the Lakewood sectional on May 21.
Pitch, Hit & amp; Run is the official skills competition of Major League Baseball.
This grassroots program is in its tenth year and is designed to provide youth across North America with an integrated competition that recognizes individual excellence in core baseball skills.
Children compete in four age groups: 7/8, 9/10, 11/12 and 13/14.
Scholarshiphonors Mather
LEETONIA -- A scholarship in memory of former Leetonia football coach and teacher Charles Mather has been established.
Anyone who is interested in making a donation may do so by sending a check to the Leetonia Scholarship Committe, care of the treasurer's office, 450 Walnut St., Leetonia.
Mather served in Leetonia during the 1940s and later coached at Massillon High School, the University of Kansas and with the Chicago Bears.
He passed away on Memorial Day at the age of 91.
