XBOARDMAN -- The wedding of Katie Lynn Winczner and Steven Frye, both of 3750 Wyndham Ridge Drive, Stow, took place at 2 p.m. May 27 at St. James Meeting House in Boardman Township Park.
The Rev. Connie Sassanella officiated at the ceremony, and the couple were honored during a reception at the Holiday Inn.
The daughter of Louis and Cynthia Winczner, 171 W. Martin St., East Palestine, and the son of Dennis and Susan Frye, 51315 state Route 14, East Palestine, honeymooned in Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic and live in Stow.
Fashioned of ivory satin, the bride's off-the-shoulder-style gown was enhanced with crystals and featured a cathedral train.
Pink gowns were worn by the bride's sister and honor attendant, Jennifer Rubino, and the bridesmaids, Tiffany Faust, her cousin; Tonia Hanes; Sara Stanyard; Stephanie Koch; and Elizabeth Masternick. Flower girls were the groom's nieces, Ivy Frye and Alexis Winkle.
Jeffrey Frye was best man for his brother, and groomsmen were Jonothan Powers, his cousin; Justin Gordon; Chris Kane; James Lautzenheizer; and Rich Hanes. Ushers were David Rubino, the bride's brother-in-law; and Brian Cartwright, her uncle.
The bride and groom graduated from Baldwin-Wallace College, where she received a degree in early childhood education and he earned a degree in marketing. She is a teacher with Mollie Kessler School in Youngstown, and he is a brand manager with ICI Paints in Strongsville.
