Camp offered for ages 5-12



GIRARD -- Girard Multi-Generational Center, 443 Trumbull Ave., will host an educational program called "Camp Fun."
The center is taking registrations for children ages 5 to 12. The first week's session will run from July 10-14 for children ages 5-8. The second session will be from July 17-21 for ages 9 to 12. Camp hours are 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. The fee is $20 per child for the entire week and includes supplies and snacks. Campers are asked to bring a bagged lunch. Registration deadline is July 6.
"Camp Fun" will include both indoor and outdoor supervised activities such as arts, crafts, sports, movie matinees and special guests from area organizations to include educational components. This summer program has been popular over the last five years, so you are encouraged to register early by calling (330) 545-6596.
Funding for the Girard Multi-Generational Center has come from both public and private sources, including American Legion Post 235, District XI Area Agency on Aging, the U.S. Department of Educational Research Division and the Girard Homecoming Committee.
