Authorities hunt marshal's shooter

COLUMBUS (AP) -- Authorities searched Friday for a man who shot at two deputy U.S. marshals attempting to arrest him, wounding one, police said. Alex Hopkins, 27, was charged in Franklin County with two counts each of attempted murder and felonious assault, said Sgt. Michael Woods, a Columbus police spokesman.
The deputies had been attempting to arrest Hopkins on Thursday in Cincinnati when he got out of a vehicle on the city's east side and began firing at the marshals, Woods said.
