Two men charged in shooting
YOUNGSTOWN -- Two men were charged with felonious assault after an argument escalated to a shooting in an apartment complex lobby.
Police were called to Guktnekt Towers, 110 E. Wood St., at 5:25 p.m. Thursday. There they arrested Claude Hunt and Paul Robbins. The men were taken to the Mahoning County jail for booking on the charges, a police report says.
The report says the shooting stemmed from a prank Hunt played on Robbins. Hunt knocked on his door and said he was the police, then ran away. Robbins found him in the lobby and said he would get his gun, the report says.
A resident reported seeing Hunt near the elevator with a long gun, and Robbins getting off the elevator reaching into his waistband. She ran for cover.
Police found bullet holes in the wall near the elevator.
