Dave Sugar Excavating tops Youngstown Express



STRUTHERS -- Dave Sugar Excavating scored four runs in the fifth inning to post an 11-5 victory Wednesday over Youngstown Express in a Class B League game at Cene Park.
Mike Berry's three hits included a double and drove in two runs.
Leading Sugar's attack was Mike Hoelzel with three hits and two RBIs. Andy Richey had two hits.
Mink Financial 7, Roth Brothers 5
Making his first start, Brad Bates went six innings, giving up nine hits and allowing two earned runs.
Leading the Mink offense was Lonnie McQueen with a triple.
Brett Grabman and Dan Moran had two hits each.
For Roth, Brian Stotle had four hits while Cory Sternthal and Pat Holcomb had two apiece. Sean Zentko doubled.
Livi Steel 8, R & amp;J Trucking 6
R & amp;J roughed up Livi starter Shane Liska for four first-inning runs, but the pitcher responded with 11 strikeouts. Bobby Revesz relieved Liska in the seventh inning for the save.
Peyton Oakley's two hits included a double. Chester Kirkwood and Willie Sekula each had two hits.
For R & amp;J, Ed Rohan's three hits included a double.
