Baringer honored, officers seated at annual dinner



Jaque Mickler was seated as the new president.
BOARDMAN -- Struthers Rotary honored outgoing president Tom Baringer during its annual Presidents Dinner on June 20 at Johnny's Restaurant.
Installation was also held for president-elect Jaque Mickler and her associate officers.
Anthony Quahliero, who served as master of ceremonies, presented Baringer with a plaque and a past president's pin, and Paul Paris presented him with the Rotary's Paul Harris Fellow.

Special awards of appreciation: Quahliero, Paris, Jerry Wansack, Dan Becker, Wendy Noble, Mary Kropinak, Mike Evanson, Mike Krake, Pat Krake, Bryan Higgins, Mickler, Al Sauline, the Rev. Philip Rogers, Don Gabriele and Mike Dercoli.
Paul Paris Four Avenues of Service Citation: Quahliero, for outstanding efforts in each of Rotary's Four Avenues of Service.
Recognition was given for:
Years of service: Dercoli, 15; Mary Ann Morell and Gary Boano, 17; Becker, 41; and Jim Jickess, 46.
Consecutive years of perfect attendance: Dercoli, 5; Baringer, 7; Gabriele, 10; Kelly Becker and Quahliero, 13; Jerry Haber, 25; Becker, 41; and Jickess, 46.
50 years of service: Paris and Mike Clemente, honored by Rotary International President Carl-Wilhelm Stenhammar.
District governor-elect Geoff Goll of Salem presented the club with the 2005-06 Presidential Citation for its service through public image initiatives and continued efforts in club, community, vocational and international service.
New slate of officers
Seated with Mickler were: Linda Krestel, vice president; Evanson, treasurer; Kropinak, secretary; Krake and Higgins, club service chairmen; Noble and Judee Patterson, community service chairmen; Rogers, international service chairman; and Sandi DiBacco, vocational service chairman.
Mickler is the branch manager for First National Bank in Campbell. She and her husband, Mike, live in New Springfield with their two children.
Some of the Rotary projects during her term will be the Fourth of July parade, 19th Annual Golf Outing, Hamilton Lake cleanup, Boardman Octoberfest, pancake breakfast, Christmas party for special needs children, reverse raffle dinner and scholarship awards ceremony. The club also sponsors the Struthers High School Interact Club, Struthers Historical Society, the Dictionary Project and Rotary Youth Leadership Conference.
