BROOKFIELD School district announces plans to hire tech support

BROOKFIELD --The Brookfield school board announced that it would hire a permanent technology support employee, rather than hiring a specialist when needed.
It would lower the cost of support, as the district spent about $126,000 on technology last year, according to Superintendent Michael Notar.
Some residents at the board's meeting Wednesday were upset that the board again refused to answer questions, as the board limited speakers to agenda items only.
"We just want answers. Why are you walking out again?" said Karen Volgut.
Volgut was upset the board still has not decided whether the school would have a marching band for the upcoming school year.
Board members voted to go into closed-door session about 30 minutes after the meeting started.
