CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Nykesha Sales scored 15 points and Asjha Jones added 14 to help Connecticut move back into sole possession of first place in the Eastern Conference. Sales, who was questionable going into the game with a sore hip, scored all of her points in the first half as the Sun (8-3) built a 20-point lead. Connecticut shot 53 percent and held a 41-24 rebounding advantage as it snapped a two-game losing streak and moved a half-game ahead of Washington and Indiana. Sheri Sam scored 15 points for the Sting (2-8), who committed 17 turnovers in losing their fourth straight game overall.
