FOOD SALES AND DINNERS



THURSDAY
XCroatian Home, St. George Lodge 66, will hold a pasta dinner from 4:30 to 8 p.m. at the clubrooms at 3200 Vestal Road, Youngstown. Dinners feature your choice of red or white spaghetti, ravioli or cavatelli, salad, bread and butter and coffee. The chef's special will be turkey with stuffing, mashed potatoes and beans. Proceeds will benefit the club's building fund.
FRIDAY
XHoly Trinity Serbian Orthodox Church will serve fish dinners from 3:30 to 7 p.m. at the church hall, 53 Laird Ave., Youngstown. The menu will consist of baked or fried Icelandic cod; sides of Spanish rice, haluski, macaroni and cheese, french fries or string beans (choose two); coleslaw or applesauce; bread and butter; and coffee or tea. The cost is $8 for adults and $4 for children. Dessert will be an additional $1.50. Containers will be provided for takeouts. Orders will be accepted from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at (330) 792-1005.
XHubbard Conservation Club, 1760 Wick Campbell Road SE, Hubbard, will serve dinners of stuffed pork chops, mashed potatoes, gravy, vegetable, salad and dessert beginning at 5 p.m. Small dinners are $4, large are $6.50, and children under 5 eat free with a paid adult meal. Strip steak($8) and 21 shrimp in a basket will be available. Takeouts will be available.
XSt. Anthony Church, 1125 Turin Ave., Youngstown, will be selling pizza and other Italian treats. Orders may be placed by calling (330) 746-9577 from 6:30 to 10:30 a.m. and must be picked up by 1 p.m. Friday.
SATURDAY
XNorth Lima Mennonite Church, 90 Mennonite Drive, North Lima, will sponsor a breakfast buffet from 7 to 10 a.m. Featured items will be eggs, pancakes, French toast, potatoes, sausage, fruit, juice and coffee. For information call (33) 549-2333.
XSalem Masonic Temple, 788 E. State St., Salem, will hold a public all-you-can-eat buffet breakfast from 7:30 to 10:30 a.m. Meals are $5 for adults, $3 for children under 10, and free for those under 2.
SUNDAY
XA spaghetti dinner for the benefit of David Watters, a cancer patient, will be held from noon to 5 p.m. at Pizza Joes Restaurant, 19 Sycamore Drive, New Middletown. The donation is $6 for adults, $3 for children 3 to 12, and free for thos under 3. carryouts will be available. Featured will be a Chinese auction.
XSacred Heart of Jesus Parish Hall, 702 Cameron Ave., Youngstown, will have a stuffed breast of chicken dinner. Dinner will be served from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and will include chicken, potatoes, mixed vegetables, salad, bread and butter, coffee or tea and assorted homemade desserts. XSt. John Lutheran Church, 1429 Mahoning Ave., will hold a buffet dinner from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Featured will be baked chicken, pasta and meatballs, parsley potatoes, green beans, tossed salad, cake, and beverages. XSt. Rose Church, 48 E. Main St., Girard, will hold an ice cream social and bake sale from noon to 2 p.m. at the food court garages featuring ice cream and choice of topping. The cost is $2 for adults and $1 for children.
XSts. Cyril and Methodius Church, 252 E. Wood St., Youngstown, will sponsor a spaghetti dinner after the 10:30 a.m. Mass with serving from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. The cost is $6 for adults and $4 for children. Takeouts will be available.
TAKING ORDERS
XSt. Rose Church, 48 E. Main St., Girard, will be taking stuffed cabbage carryout orders. Cost is $15 for a dozen or $7.50 for six. To order, call (330) 545-4351. Orders can be picked up at the church's Ice Cream Social from noon to 2 p.m. Sunday.
UPCOMING
XImmaculate Heart of Mary Parish Center, 4500 Norquest Blvd., Austintown, will hold an ice cream social from 2 to 4 p.m. July 2 featuring a variety of toppings. Tickets are $3.25 each sundae if ordered by June 30 by calling (330) 792-8355, they will be $3.50 on social day. A beverage is included with each sundae.
