"Big Brother" (8 p.m., CBS): For its seventh edition, "Big Brother" is bringing back its most popular players. Twenty former "Brother" contestants will jockey for 12 slots open in the house. The audience will select its favorites, a first for the series. Polls will open at cbs.com today and close around 11:59 p.m. on June 28. The results will be revealed on the July 6 installment. From there, "Big Brother: All-Stars" will follow the relationships and conflicts of players who live together. At the end of three months, the last remaining houseguest will receive the grand prize of $500,000.
"America's Got Talent" (9 p.m., NBC): Frankly, we usually roll our eyes at any new TV talent show that blatantly attempts to ride the coattails of "American Idol." Still, this one intrigues us not only because "Idol's" Simon Cowell (creator-producer) and Regis Philbin (host) are involved, but because it sounds like a train wreck waiting to happen. "Talent" is being trumpeted as a big-tent variety show that embraces just about any kind of act -- from ventriloquists to contortionists, acrobats to jugglers, magicians to mimes.
"AFI Lifetime Achievement Award: A Tribute to Sean Connery" (9 p.m., USA): The most famous James Bond of them all gets the star treatment in the "AFI Lifetime Achievement Award: A Tribute to Sean Connery." The man's peers turn out en masse to sing his praises and watch all kinds of movie clips.
