Warren man killed
WARREN -- City police are investigating the shooting death of a 24-year-old city man whose body was found Monday morning. Phillip Dally, of Ohio Avenue, was found shot to death in a field along Front Street about 10 a.m. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
16-year-old charged
BOARDMAN -- Police arrested a 16-year-old Mathews Road boy on charges of felonious assault and aggravated menacing. The boy and his 21-year-old brother were arguing at home and the younger sibling grabbed a kitchen knife. When the older brother tried to block the knife, he was stabbed in the hand. The older brother was treated at Forum Health Beeghly Medical Center. The 16-year-old was taken to the Mahoning County Juvenile Justice Center.
Facing various charges
BOARDMAN -- A Youngstown woman faces several charges after being accused of fighting with police and trying to kick out the windows of a cruiser. Tyeisha Teague, 24, of Cameron Avenue, was charged with assault on a police officer, operating a motor vehicle was intoxicated, failure to comply, resisting arrest, obstructing official business and criminal damaging. Police tried to stop the car Teague was driving early Sunday. Police reports say that she refused to stop, officers continued to follow her and she got out of the car and ran and fought with police.
Robbery conspiracy
BOARDMAN -- Kim Bush, also known as Kim Marciano, 43, with addresses on Notre Dame Drive in Campbell and on Wampum Drive in Youngstown, was arrested Monday on a warrant for complicity to commit robbery. The charge stems from a May 10 episode at Walmart on Doral Drive. Bush, a former Mahoning County deputy sheriff, was indicted last week on charges of unauthorized use of a vehicle and passing bad checks from an Austintown case.
Pizza Joe's robbed
YOUNGSTOWN -- "I want pizza and all the money in the register," a gunman told employees of Pizza Joe's on Canfield Road around 7 p.m. Sunday. The robber, who wore pink sunglasses, ran north toward Kirk Road after being handed cash, reports show.
Competency evaluation
WARREN -- Judge Peter J. Kontos of Trumbull County Common Pleas judge has ordered a competency evaluation for Roddy M. Rudkin Jr., 22, of Briggs Road, Leavittsburg. Rudkin is under indictment on charges related to three vacant house fires in Warren and four occupied-house fires in Warren Township, all last year.
Motorcycle death
HOWLAND -- A 38-year-old Warren man who wasn't wearing a helmet was killed when thrown from a motorcycle. The Ohio State Highway Patrol said Tim Drass was southbound on Howland-Wilson Road near Carriage Hill Drive about 8:30 p.m. Sunday when he failed to negotiate a left curve. The cycle went off the right side of the road and flipped over a guardrail. Drass was pronounced dead at St. Elizabeth Health Center.
Indecent exposure
BOARDMAN -- An 18-year-old woman reported that a man exposed himself Saturday afternoon at the high school track.
Man sought in robbery
AUSTINTOWN -- Police are looking for a man who robbed the BP gas station at 3602 Mahoning Ave. and threatened to shoot an employee. In addition to cash, the robber tried unsuccessfully to take the store's security surveillance tape. He told the clerk he'd return and shoot him if he reported the robbery, which took place Saturday evening. The employee said he saw a bulge under the robber's arm, which made him believe the man had a gun.
