Unidentified man run over by train

LORDSTOWN -- Village police and the Trumbull County Coroner's office are attempting to learn the identity of a man who died when run over by a train Monday afternoon.
Police Chief Brent Milhoan described the man, who was not carrying any identification, was white, between 52 and 55 years old and wearing a gray T-shirt, black jean-type pants and brown shoes.
Milhoan said the man jumped off a bridge between Ellsworth-Bailey and Ernest-Lintz roads onto a coal car and then fell between cars and onto the tracks.
The chief said authorities received a 911 call from a motorist who saw the man jump at 1:37 p.m. The coal car on which the man landed was the 22nd car behind the engine, and the train crew didn't know it happened until notified by police.
