New waterline will open on Thursday

WEATHERSFIELD -- Trumbull County officials will officially open nearly 9,500 feet of new waterline along Austintown-Warren and Salt Springs roads.
The ceremony for the $643,805 project will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Ohio Department of Natural Resources' Division of Wildlife hunting preserve, just south of Nature's Blend on Austintown-Warren.
Of the total amount, $346,860 was through the community development block grants administered by the Trumbull County Planning Commission, with the balance from the revolving loan fund also administered by the commission.
The project includes 30 tap-ins to houses owned by people with low- and moderate incomes.
Other residents interested in tapping into the new line should contact Niles, which provides the water service.
