Bank donates to support the arts

WARREN -- First Place Bank Community Foundation has agreed to provide The Fine Arts Council of Trumbull County with the additional funding needed to support its summer season in Courthouse Park.
The announcement was a surprise to Bobbie Brown, FACT director.
As a result of a construction delay at the Warren Community Amphitheatre, FACT was forced to re-locate 24 of its 42 summer performances. The cost of renting the necessary equipment to accommodate the Movies and the Stars, as well as the Summer Night Special series, totaled $10,000.
Because this had not been anticipated, the cost was creating a hardship for the council.

In addition, First Place also contributed to the Summer 2006 Performance Season. A total of $70,000 was previously secured from First Place Bank, St. Joseph Health Center, Trumbull 100, Embarq, First Energy Foundation, Paige & amp; Byrnes Insurance, Sky Bank, and Warren Rotary Foundation.
