Angel Food Ministries finds new home

BOARDMAN -- Simon Road Church of God, 4750 Simon Road, is the newest site for Angel Food Ministries, a nondenominational, nonprofit ministry that offers a basic unit of groceries for a set price.
The program does not have income guidelines or applications. Orders will be taken Saturday through July 15 from 10 a.m. to noon and 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesdays, 10 a.m. to noon and 5 to 6:30 p.m. Wednesdays and 10 to noon Saturdays. Call the church at (330) 783-1949 for more information. Distribution day will be July 29. Food includes fresh, frozen, canned and boxed items.
The grocery program began April 2005 in the Mahoning Valley with two sites -- Covenant Community Center in Lake Milton and New Springfield Church of God in New Springfield.
