Robinsons mark 60th anniversary during luncheon



XHUBBARD -- Mr. and Mrs. Jack B. Robinson Sr., 6443 Mason Ave., were the guests of honor as they celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary at a luncheon held at May 27 at Leo's Ristorante, Howland.
Invitations for the event were issued by members of their family, Thomas and Genevieve Taylor of Warren, Jack B. Robinson Jr. of Girard and Joni L. Butler of Columbus. A son, Michael L. Robinson, lives in Miami, Fla. Completing the family are seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Mount Pleasant AME Church in Morgantown, W.Va., was the setting May 25, 1946, as Mr. Robinson and the former Cleo Banks were united in marriage. The couple are members of Triedstone Baptist Church.
Mrs. Robinson is a member of the choir, the usher ministry and the nurses guild at the church.
Mr. Robinson served with the U.S. Army during World War II. He retired in 1987 as a truck driver with Youngstown Building Materials. He is a church trustee and a member of the usher ministry. He served with the auxiliary police in Hubbard and is a member of the Buckeye Sheriff Association, Fraternal Order of Police and of VFW Post 3767.
