XSOUTH PADRE ISLAND, Texas -- The beach at Bahia Mar Resort was the setting at 6 p.m. May 21 for the wedding of Joey L. Caccarozzo and Jerry Don Jones Jr., both of La Feria, Texas.
The ceremony was performed by Judge Sallie Gonzalez, and a reception was held afterward at the resort's Las Ventanas Hall. The newlyweds left on a wedding trip to Madrid, Spain, and live in La Feria.
Parents of the bride are Joseph and Nikki Caccarozzo of Austintown, and the groom is a son of Katherine Jones of Bartlett, Texas; Betty Jones of Houston; and the late Jerry Don Jones.
Designed with a halter-style corset bodice, the bride's white chiffon gown was embellished with crystal beading.
Cobalt-blue gowns were worn by the bride's sister and honor attendant, Cara Caccarozzo, and the bridesmaids, Stephanie Cave, Alysia Hanson, Dana Kocar and Sarah Ott. The flower girl was Olivia Lopez.
Serving as best man for his brother was Lyndon Jones, and groomsmen were Randy Glasgow, Morgan Jackson, Michael Webster and Jeffrey Whitfield. The ring bearer was the groom's nephew, George Rodriguez III.
The bride received a bachelor's degree in criminal justice from Baldwin-Wallace College and a juris doctorate from the University of Akron School of Law.
The groom graduated from the University of Houston with a bachelor's degree in journalism.
Both the bride and groom work in Edinburg, Texas, and are continuing their education.
