The Mahoning County OVI (operating a vehicle impaired) Task Force held a checkpoint from 9 p.m. Friday till 1 a.m. Saturday on South Avenue in Boardman Township. Participating departments were Boardman, Canfield, Beaver, Goshen, Mahoning County Sheriff's Office, New Middletown, Poland Township, Youngstown and the Ohio State Highway Patrol. The results:

Number diverted for further inspection: 42.
Number of OVI arrests: Three.
Number of DUS (driving under suspension) arrests: Two.
Number of no operator's license citations: Three.
Number of restraint citations: 38.
