*YOUNGSTOWN -- Matt Madrid singled home Matt Guerrieri with the winning run in the bottom of the seventh inning as Youngstown Metros came from behind to post a 2-1 victory over T.C. Merchants in Youngstown AA League at Pemberton-Donnell Park.
John Schiraldi singled, stole second, moved to third on an error and scored on another error to give the Merchants a 1-0 lead in the second inning.
Grant Sevek singled, advanced to second on a single by Lou Kopachy and scored on a single by Cameron Cimino as the Metros tied the score in the sixth inning.
Ed Morales pitched a two-hitter with eight strikeouts to pick up the win.
*YOUNGSTOWN -- Bud's/DiCioccio scored five runs in the sixth inning, then thwarted a late rally by Roth Brothers to post a 7-4 victory at Oakland Field. Mark Nightingale hit a three-run home run for Bud's in the sixth inning. Frank Santore hit three singles and Mike Turjanica added a pair of hits. Jeremy Hedegore and Joe Bettura led Roth Brothers each with two hits.
*WARREN -- Ultimate Building Maintenance scored at least one run in every inning but the fourth as it topped Metro Ice 12-6 in Warren AA League at Packard Park.
Pat Elias, Chad Perry and Jim Newbrough led UBM with two hits apiece. Dave Mypaver had two hits for Metro Ice.
*WARREN -- Mahoning Valley Knights jumped out to a 5-0 lead in the first two innings and went on to upend Champion Molded Plastics 10-2 at Packard.
Vasili Pahoulis paced the Knights with three hits, which included a triple. Greg Barton hit a pair of singles. Mike Sweeney led CMP with a double and single.
*WARREN -- A 10-run first inning propelled Reds past the P.I. & amp;I. Express 18-3 at Perkins Park. Kendall Kokoski and Shaun Balas each had three hits for Reds. Kyren Gardner hit a double for Express.
*WARREN -- Bob's Bail Bonding, behind three runs, scored four times in the top of the seventh as it posted a 9-8 victory over Metro Ice at Packard Park. Joe Hardy, Vince Gentile, Mike Lepro, Nick Lawrence had two hits apiece for Bob's. Dave Nypaver led Metro Ice with four hits, including a home run.
*WARREN -- Ultimate Building Maintenance scored seven runs in the third inning and cruised to a 10-0 victory over Champion Molded Plastics at Packard Park. Pat Stantial and Brian Smith paced UBM each with three hits. Mike Strohzewski had two hits for CMP.
Youth golf
TWINSBURG -- Tom Timko of Girard fired 39-37--76 to take first place in the boys 12-13 year old division at the Plain Dealer North Coast Junior Tournament at Gleneagles Golf Club. Ray Hilary of Warren shot 44-50--94 to finish third in the girls 16-19 year old division.

STRUTHERS -- Pitcher Zach McGhee wasn't in a report turned into The Vindicator as he threw shutout baseball through six innings with five strikeouts and a walk Sunday as the Mahoning Valley Panthers edged Line Drive 8-7 in a Babe Ruth (14-15) game.
Bowling
YOUNGSTOWN -- Applications for the Youngstown USBC Women's Bowling Association Hall of Fame are due by July 1. Nomination for the hall of fame is for any woman, living or deceased, who has contributed, displayed ability or rendered outstanding service to enhance the prestige and progress of the sport in the area.
Successful nominees will be inducted during the program at the achievement and awards dinner on Oct. 8.

Pro Football HOFsalutes dads
CANTON -- On Sunday the Pro Football Hall of Fame will salute America's dads with a special Father's Day Celebration.
Hall of Fame will offer free admission to any dad when accompanied by a son or daughter.
The first 500 dads through the turnstile will also receive a Hall of Fame Father's Day souvenir.
