Free summer camp
YOUNGSTOWN -- A free summer day camp for children entering first through seventh grades is scheduled July 10-14 at Martin Luther Lutheran Church, 420 Clearmount Drive. Activities will include crafts, music, games, sports and Bible study. Sessions will be from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily. Special events will include a picnic July 13 at Boardman Township Park with a cookout and dog safety awareness presentation. Guest minister
HERMITAGE, Pa. -- Dr. Mark T. Barclay will speak on "Preacher of Righteousness" at 7 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday at Miracle Valley Church, 2119 Valley View Road. There will be a nursery and children's ministry provided.
Announcing affiliation
COLUMBIANA -- Grace Church of Columbiana, 140 S. Main St., formerly known as Grace United Church of Christ, is announcing its affiliation with the National Association of Congregational Christian Churches. The church holds services at 10 a.m. Sundays during June, July and August and midweek Bible studies. Community luncheons are scheduled the last Monday of each month with the next one at noon June 26. CANFIELD -- Youngstown Spiritual Society will host a message and meditation service from 10 to 11 a.m. Sunday at the Ursuline Center, 4300 Shields Road. Vince Lisi will present a teaching, "The Great Invitation," followed by meditation and shared prayer.

YOUNGSTOWN -- Trinity United Methodist Church, 30 W. Front St., will host the Rev. Deane Williams, a retired minister of the East Ohio Conference of the United Methodist Church, during its 10 a.m. service Sunday.
Pastor transferred
YOUNGSTOWN -- The Rev. Patricia Christ, pastor of Richard Brown United Methodist Church, 1205 Elm St., is being transferred to Wildare United Methodist Church in Champion. During her seven years at Richard Brown, she established a Sunday morning youth program and van transportation for youths. She also has participated in various community organizations including the Interdenominational Ministerial Alliance, Northside Interfaith Partnership and Youngstown human relations committee, North Side Weed and Feed Committee and president of the board of United Methodist Community Center.
Church relocates
YOUNGSTOWN -- Youngstown Metro Church has relocated to the Oakland Theater, 220 W. Boardman St. The church involves some 100 people primarily in their 20s and 30s. Started nearly three years ago by the Rev. Joshua Shank, the group first met at his apartment, moved to Selah Caf & eacute; in Poland and then to Youngstown Christian School.
