R & amp;J Trucking drops Rondinelli, pulls into tie for first in division



STRUTHERS -- R & amp;J Trucking moved back into a tie with Rondinelli Tuxedo for first place in the Goldstone Division with a 11-7 victory in a Class B game Saturday at Cene Park.
Travis McCarthy had four hits for R & amp;J (12-4), which took advantage of six Rondinelli errors to score eight unearned runs. Ed Rohan and Matt Yarab each added three hits and Bob Herberger had two. Lou Coppola (3-0) struck out four in six-plus innings.
Chuck Olesky had three hits and Matt Katich, Andy Dobson, and Cory Nesbitt two hits each for Rondinelli (12-4). Luke Summers (1-2) allowed just two earned runs in his five innings.
Wharmby Sports 15, Mink Financial 11
Tom Popadak had four hits, while Mark Babyak and Todd Finn each had three for Wharmby (10-6).
John Thomas added two hits and earned the save, while Cory Johnson (2-2) got the win in relief.
Ed DeLuca and losing pitcher Lonnie McQueen (0-4) had three hits each for Mink (6-10).
Wharmby Sports 2, Livi Steel 1,9 innings
Tom Popadak of Wharmby Sports scored the winning run on an error in the bottom of the ninth inning Friday night.
Popadak (3-0) tossed a complete game two-hitter, allowing no earned runs. He struck out 13 and walked just one. He also had three hits.
Bobby Revesz (1-1) also went the distance for Livi (10-5); he allowed no earned runs and no walks, and fanned 11. Popadak opened the bottom of the ninth with a single and after two outs, back-to-back errors allowed him to score the winning run. Livi had nine errors in the game.
