Man gets rehabilitation for drug possession



YOUNGSTOWN -- A city man will spend one year in a rehabilitation program for a drug possession charge.
Judge R. Scott Krichbaum of Mahoning County Common Pleas Court sentenced Jonathan D. Thompson, 28, of Maryland Avenue, to one year in the Department of Rehabilitation and Correction, with credit for three days served in the Mahoning County Justice Center.
Assistant Prosecutor J. Michael Thompson recommended in-house treatment for the defendant, who was arrested July 3, 2005, on possession of cocaine, a fourth-degree misdemeanor. He forfeits $483 seized by police.
