CLEVELAND -- The ROCcK Children's Choir of the Mahoning Valley will headline entertainment at the first-ever Wigs for Kids' "Zoo Walk & amp; More" Saturday at Cleveland Metroparks Zoo, 3900 Wildlife Way. The group, founded in 2002 at Tod Children's Hospital in Youngstown by Brenda Rider, a breast cancer survivor and musician, will perform from 8 to 9:15 a.m.
The choir involves 19 children ranging in age from 4 to 17 years old who have cancer or who have recovered from cancer along with some siblings and friends. Children live in the Youngstown and Warren areas and Sharon, Pa.
Activities will include a 5K walk-a-thon, interactive map walk, visits to the animal exhibits and entertainment. There also will be raffle prizes, games, face painting and a mini-obstacle course. Registration and entertainment will begin at 8 a.m. Admission is free to the Zoo and nearby Rainforest for individuals who donate or raise at least $25 for Wigs for Kids and $50 for families. Light refreshments will be available. Representatives of the Children's Alopecia Project Inc. will have information available.

Library tour
YOUNGSTOWN -- The Theatre-to-Go troupe of Youngstown Playhouse Youth Theatre will tour public libraries of Youngstown and Mahoning County with "Puss in Boots" from June 26-30. Admission is free.
Featured in the production are Joseph Monda, Elizabeth Woolford and Joseph Corradi. Jim Lybarger is set designer and technical director and Patricia Petaccio is costumer. The interactive production will have the audience work with the actors to bring the story to its "happily ever after" conclusion.

Theater camp
NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. -- Westminster College is offering a Foundation Theater Camp for 12- to 18-year-old students from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. June 26-30 with a special performance June 30 at 8 p.m. in Beeghly Theater.
"The goal of the camp is to enhance the knowledge of theatrical performance in our area's youth," said Robert Patrick Allen, camp director. "We will also focus on teaching the students relaxation and some basic vocal techniques," Allen said. "This year we will also be including a minor focus on musical theater singing."
