Shuntich 50th marked at Mass and family dinner

XGIRARD -- On June 10, Mr. and Mrs. Peter Shuntich, 1484 Melbourne Drive, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary by attending a Mass held at Sts. Peter and Paul Croatian Church and during a family dinner at Alberini's Restaurant in Niles.
Hosts for the event were their children and their spouses, Karen and Scott McCreary of Poland, David and Marijo Shuntich of Canfield, and Gregory Shuntich of Brookfield. The family includes six grandchildren.
Also planned by the couple as a continuation of the anniversary observance will be a trip to Las Vegas and the Grand Canyon in the fall.
The former Annabelle Kiger and Mr. Shuntich were married June 9, 1956, at Sts. Peter and Paul Church.
The couple were the owners of Heights Superette in McKinley Heights until 1981. Mr. Shuntich served with the U.S. Air Force.
