Riggs anniversary party to be in park in East Palestine

XNEW WATERFORD -- The 50th wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Riggs, 46466 Dogwood Circle, will be celebrated June 18 at the community center in East Palestine Park.
Invitations for the event have been issued by the couple's children, Mike Riggs of Bedford Heights, Dan Riggs and Sharon Riggs, both of New Waterford, and Debbie Riggs and Sandy Riggs, both of East Palestine.
The former Gerry Yurcic and Mr. Riggs were united in marriage June 23, 1956, at St. Patrick Church in Youngstown.
Mrs. Riggs is a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Church in East Palestine and retired in 1998 from Tod Children's Hospital in Youngstown, where she was a pediatric nurse.
Mr. Riggs was an assembler at National Rubber Machine Co. in Columbiana prior to retiring in 1991.
