XAUSTINTOWN -- Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, was the honeymoon destination of Eric William Thorpe, 4451 Aspen Drive, and his bride, the former Leigh Ann Ellis, 4624 Aspen Drive, following their marriage May 6 at Redeemer Lutheran Church.
The Rev. Karl Rein officiated at the 3 p.m. wedding, and a reception was held afterward at Das Dutch Village Inn, Columbiana.
The bride is a daughter of Dorothy Ellis, also of 4624 Aspen Drive, and the late Charles Ellis, and the groom's parents are Robert and Marie Thorpe, 9555 Struthers Road, New Middletown.
They live at the 4451 Aspen Drive address.
The bride's white satin sleeveless gown featured crystal and pearl beading at the waistline and a French train.
Azalea-pink gowns were worn by the honor attendants, Michele Cook of Houston and Anne Louise White of Poland, and the bridesmaid, Debbie Sadosky of Sterling Heights, Mich. Flower girl was the groom's niece, Taylor Thorpe of Petersburg.
Best man was the groom's brother, Brad Thorpe of Washingtonville, and groomsmen were Mike Thorpe of Petersburg, the groom's brother, and Matthew Ellis of Ansonia, Conn., a nephew of the bride.
The bride earned a bachelor's degree in entertainment relations at Youngstown State University and is a community involvement coordinator with Wal-Mart Stores Inc. The groom, an executive assistant manager with Walgreens Pharmacy in Warren, holds a bachelor's in marketing management from YSU.
