XPOLAND -- The exchange of nuptial vows took place during a 2 p.m. ceremony May 6 as Kristine Campana and Mark Makis, both of 2260 E. Arms Drive, Hubbard, were united in marriage at Poland United Methodist Church.
A reception was held at Avalon Inn at Squaw Creek Country Club in Vienna for the daughter of Bob and Debbie Campana, 1919 Twin Oak Drive, and the son of Peter Makis, 5820 Sampson Drive, and Linda Makis, 1440 Churchill Road, Girard, all of Girard.
After a wedding trip to Montego Bay in Jamaica, the couple live at the Hubbard address.
Beaded appliques, a laced-up back, a symmetrical waist and a chapel train enhanced the bride's strapless A-line gown of satin.
Garnet-colored gowns were worn by the honor attendants, Kimberly Weinell of Girard, the bride's sister, and Koree Shubert of Warren, and the bridesmaids, Amanda Makis of Girard, a sister of the groom, and Christine Robek of Columbus. Flower girls were Chloe Weinell, the bride's niece, and Caitlyn Duffield, the groom's niece, both of Girard.
Kevin Goldberg of Youngstown was the best man, and groomsmen were Jeremiah Ferrara, Matt Lloyd and the bride's brother-in-law, Jason Weinell, all of Girard, and Jeff Robek of Columbus. Ring bearer was the bride's cousin, John Robert Cothran of Fairfax, Va..
The bride and groom attended Youngstown State University and are employed with Twin Oak Enterprise Inc. in Girard.
