XPoland Chapter 2520, AARP, will hold its annual picnic at noon June 19 at Poland United Methodist Church. In case of inclement weather, the event will be held inside the church. Those attending are reminded to take a food dish to share and their own table service. A board meeting will be held at 11:30 a.m. There will be no meetings in July or August. Meetings will resume Sept. 18.

XAustintown Chapter 4339, AARP, will meet at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Grace Lutheran Church. The speaker will be Sharon Willmitch of ABI. Tickets ($3) will be sold for the 1 p.m. July 17 picnic at Stacey Pavilion in Austintown Township Park. Members are reminded to take casseroles, vegetables and desserts.

XLiberty Fire Department will conduct blood pressure screenings for Liberty Senior Citizens at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday prior to a regular meeting at 11. Wilda Clifton will preside, and Gretchen Reed will review the book, "Nickel and Dimes are (not) Getting by in America." Hostesses will be Judy Guidosh and Joan Aeppli who will provide beverages for the sack lunches taken by members. Guests are welcome. Members are reminded to save white elephant prizes for the June 28 picnic at Harding Park.
