Red Cross seeking hero nominations

BOARDMAN -- The Mahoning Chapter of the American Red Cross is accepting nominations of local heroes for the 2007 Heroes of the Mahoning Valley Breakfast.
The fourth annual breakfast will be at 10 a.m. Jan. 13, 2007, at Antone's Banquet Centre.
The heroes must have performed an extraordinary act of courage, donated countless hours to the betterment of the community or shown an unusual amount of kindness and unselfish character. These acts must have taken place between Sept. 1, 2005, and Sept. 1, 2006, within Mahoning County, Hubbard, Liberty or Girard.
Hero nominations categories include firefighter, law enforcement, medical, good neighbor (over 21), youth Samaritan (under 21), caregiver (animal or human), workplace safety, educator and community impact.
