Police discover man bound with duct tape
YOUNGSTOWN -- Responding to a call Friday in the 1400 block of Forest View Drive, police found a 35-year-old Girard man whose hands were bound behind him and his face covered with duct tape.
The man said he went to the house to sell the men some dogs, and at least two men held him against his will for at least three hours. The victim said his assailants told him he owed them money, and at least two men beat him with a cane and guns.
A woman called police around 11 a.m. Friday to go to the house where she said that her boyfriend was being held against his will and that it was a drug house. Police knocked at the door and identified themselves and heard a muffled cry for help. They found the victim in the living room with his hands secured behind his back with duct tape and duct tape wrapped around his head from his chin to his forehead with just his nose exposed.
During a search of the house, police found a sword-cane, a 9mm handgun, a .38 caliber handgun, two bags of crack cocaine, two bags of powder cocaine, three bags of marijuana and a scale with a bag of crack cocaine on it. They also found photo identification, and the victim identified the man in the photo as one of the assailants. The victim was treated at the scene, and police took him home.
