LMV names new executive director
YOUNGSTOWN -- A new executive director has been named to head Leadership Mahoning Valley as the Regional Chamber takes over management of organization programs next week.
As LMV's executive director, Karen M. Stacey has responsibility for the planning, coordination and implementation of both the adult and youth leadership programs.
Stacey, a Chamber staff member for four years, has worked as executive coordinator to the president/CEO and the vice president of business services. She also was liaison to the Regional Chamber's board of directors, area councils, outreach and award programs including the ATHENA award.
Before joining the chamber, Stacey, who lives in Austintown, worked as program manager at WKBN/WYFX and as radio news director for WRRO-AM. She is a Youngstown State University graduate.
"I am excited for the opportunity to form partnerships with community leaders in our Valley," Stacey said in a prepared statement given to the news media.
More than 800 individuals from all fields and professions have graduated from LMV since its 1985 establishment. Leadership Mahoning Valley's mission is to identify, educate and motivate community leaders to address the challenges facing the Valley.
