YOUNGSTOWN -- The Rev. Ron Shipley officiated at a 2 p.m. ceremony May 6 at Mill Creek Baptist Church as Heather Guthrie and Jason Lengyel, both of 3331/2 W. Main St., Sharpsville, Pa., were united in marriage.
The couple accepted congratulations at a reception held afterward at Tiffany's Banquet Center in Brookfield before leaving for a honeymoon at Cancun, Mexico.
They live in Sharpsville.
Parents of the bride are Gaye Gonatas of New Smyrna Beach, Fla., and John Guthrie of Broken Arrow, Okla.
The groom's parents are Lois and Larry Lengyel, 55 Wozniak Road, New Wilmington, Pa.
Beading and a chiffon overlay enhanced the bride's strapless gown.
Platinum gowns were worn by the bride's sister and honor attendant, Chrystal Richards of Salem, and the bridesmaids, Valerie Guthrie of New Castle, Pa., and Amanda Hewitt of Broken Arrow, also sisters of the bride. Flower girl was her niece, Hanna Hewitt of Broken Arrow.
The duties of best man were performed by Mike Dudash of West Middlesex, Pa., and groomsmen were Brian Lengyel of Lordstown and Chris Lengyel of New Wilmington, brothers of the groom. Ring bearer was Zachary Richards of Salem, a nephew of the bride.
Mrs. Lengyel is a secretary with Wolford's Refuse and Recycling in McDonald, and Mr. Lengyel is the owner of Lengyel Electric in Sharpsville.
